Centenary of Balfour Declaration
2017 marks the centenary of the Balfour Declaration. Loved by some and loathed by others, the Declaration has shaped the history of the troubled region of Israel/Palestine for the last 100 years. To mark the centenary, the Wolverhampton Circuit of the Methodist Church is hosting an evening of Worship, Discussion, Prayer and Action on Thursday 21 September – the International Day for Peace. The meeting will begin at 7.30pm at St John’s Methodist Church, 558 Wolverhampton Road East, Parkfield, Wolverhampton, WV4 6AA.
A movement is happening across the world, born out of Christian unity, with a dream to see the physical, social and spiritual transformation of our towns/ cities. Movement Day is a two-day event based at Westminster Central Hall in London on Friday 6/Saturday 7 October, where church leaders and Christians working in business, arts, health, politics, local government, media, education and more across the UK can engage in a unique conversation as we imagine a better future for our towns/cities.
